Spotlight Retail Group is undergoing a significant digital transformation, replacing our existing SAP Commerce platform with commercetools. This is a complete re-platforming effort to a modern, headless, and composable commerce architecture. This project involves rebuilding all our eCommerce integrations using Workato, implementing a new CMS, and developing new drop-ship functionality. You will be instrumental in a high-impact project, working with cutting-edge technology to create a seamless experience for a large user base.

As the Test Lead, you'll be a critical part of our Program Delivery team. This is a hands-on leadership position without direct line management, focused on coordinating and overseeing all testing activities.

What You Will Be Doing

  • Strategise & Plan: Develop and implement comprehensive test strategies, plans, and methodologies. Define test scope and estimate efforts and timelines.
  • Execute & Oversee: Coordinate all testing phases, including SIT, UAT, Performance, Penetration, and Smoke testing. Lead the creation and execution of test cases, working closely with vendors and internal stakeholders.
  • Champion Quality: Be our go-to expert for quality assurance. Manage the entire defect lifecycle, from logging and prioritising to resolution, and facilitate formal sign-off processes.
  • Drive Improvement: Continuously evaluate and enhance our testing processes and tools, with a strong focus on automation and best practices.

Skills & Experience We're Looking For

  • Experience: A minimum of 5+ years in software testing, with at least 3 years in a Test Lead or similar oversight role.
  • Technical Acumen: Proven experience leading QA for complex, high-impact solutions.
  • Methodology: Strong understanding of Agile and DevOps environments.
  • Tools: Proficiency with test management tools (TestRail, Zephyr) and defect tracking systems like Jira.
  • Non-Functional Testing: Experience coordinating performance, security, and accessibility testing is a must.
  • Automation: Experience with test automation frameworks (Selenium, Cypress) is highly regarded.
  • Leadership: Exceptional communication and leadership skills, with the ability to manage stakeholders and foster collaboration.
