In this role at Spotlight Retail Group, you will be reporting to the Retail Planning and Reporting Systems Manager and act as a key player in our Business Intelligence team, focusing on the end-to-end delivery of planning and analysis using IBM Planning & Analytics (TM1). This is a fast-paced role where your expertise will directly contribute to critical business decisions across our diverse retail operations.
You'll be instrumental in:
Ensuring data integrity and timely completion of Planning & Analytics system tasks.
Translating business needs into technical solutions, from gathering requirements to designing and developing robust ETL processes and reporting layers.
Providing strong technical leadership in the design, development, testing, delivery, and deployment of Planning & Analytics solutions.
Optimizing performance of large applications and managing developments to ensure successful outcomes for data integrity and availability.
Maintaining application-related processes and system documentation.
Participating in system upgrades and the expansion of current functionalities.
Assisting end-users in understanding and interpreting critical business information.
Further developing & enhancing our Merchandise Financial Planning, Merchandise Demand Planning and Predictive Forecasting solutions.
What You'll Bring
You're a seasoned professional with a minimum of 3+ years of hands-on experience in IBM TM1, Planning & Analytics. You're not just a developer; you're an architect and problem-solver with a deep understanding of retail business processes.
Your essential skills and experience include:
Must have 3+ years of expertise in IBM TM1/Planning & Analytics, including architecting, designing, developing, testing, and implementing applications.
Proven experience solving challenges unique to retail applications, particularly in Merchandise Planning & Reporting.
Proficiency in developing End User templates in PAW & PAX, with transferable knowledge from Active Forms and TM1 Web.
Comprehensive understanding and experience across the full TM1 suite: Server installation & configuration, Dimension Build, Complex Rules, TI & Scripting, Contributor, Security and Tm1Py.
Excellent analytical, problem-solving, and communication skills.
Ability to gather requirements, design solutions, troubleshoot, and operate independently. Strong focus on performance management and improvement.
A proven track record of strong business support and customer focus.
Proficiency in troubleshooting and resolving software and application issues.
Ability to operate independently and be self-motivated within a collaborative team environment.
