Spotlight Retail Group is seeking an experienced Functional Consultant for ERP Solutions to join our dynamic IT team. This is a hybrid role based in South Melbourne and offers great work flexibility. You will play a crucial role in ensuring operational efficiency, solving complex problems and helping the business maximise opportunities through effective ERP solutions.
What You’ll Do
As a Functional Consultant, your key responsibilities will be split across Delivery, Project Management, and Support:
Key Responsibilities
Solution Delivery: Capture requirements, design SAP functional and technical solutions (including configuration), provide effort/cost estimates, and deliver quality documentation (test cases, functional specs, user guides).
Testing & Training: Perform thorough scripting and testing for all system changes (unit, integration, regression) and support users through UAT and one-on-one system training.
Project Leadership:Lead and manage Tier 2 & 3 projects and initiatives to successful completion, applying project management methodologies.
System Support: Provide 2nd and 3rd level software support, focusing on problem resolution in accordance with SLAs, issue prioritisation, escalation, and maintenance of logged issue statuses.
Operational Checks: Perform daily checks, reconciliations, data reprocessing, and monitor application performance and stability, including after-hours support on a rotational basis.
What You'll Bring
To thrive in this role, you must possess a strong blend of SAP technical and retail-specific experience:
Essential Skills & Experience
$5+ years’ experience in SAP ECC 6.0 SCM modules, with a strong focus on MM (Materials Management). Experience in SD (Sales and Distribution), WM (Warehouse Management), and LE (Logistics Execution) is also highly valued.
$5+ years’ SAP IS Retail configuration experience.
Familiarity with project management methodologies (Waterfall & Agile) and the ability to prepare plans, manage risk/issues, and report status.
A self-motivated, proactive individual who takes ownership, follows through, and can effectively prioritise and multitask under pressure.
Tertiary qualifications in information systems or a related discipline.
Bonus: Ability to read ABAP code is considered beneficial for problem-solving.
