We are seeking an organised, commercially-focused Business Project Manager to join our South Melbourne team, focusing on the critical BAU projects that keep our operations world-class.
The Opportunity
Reporting to the Program Delivery Manager, you will be the "go-to" for managing the steady flow of business projects that improve our daily operations. Unlike pure "innovation" roles, this position is about consistency, refinement, and execution. You will oversee multiple projects across our retail brands, ensuring that every change we implement is seamless, well-documented, and delivers immediate value to our teams.
What You’ll Be Doing
Project Delivery: Manage the full lifecycle of business-focused projects—from estimating, scoping and budgeting to mobilisation, resourcing and implementation.
Operational Excellence: Work with business colleagues to identify opportunities for process enhancement and refinement.
Stakeholder Alignment: Conduct project kick-offs and lead cross-functional teams (SMEs, Managers, and external vendors) to ensure everyone is aligned with project goals.
Governance & Reporting: Maintain the "gold standard" for project documentation, risk management plans, financial tracking to ensure no over-expenditure and knowledge transfer.
Mentoring: Provide guidance to junior team members, helping to foster a high-performance culture within the Project Delivery team.
What You Bring
Proven Track Record: 5+ years of Project Management experience, ideally in a large-scale retail or shared-services environment using a mixture of on-shore and off-shore teams (internal and external).
Process Mindset: You enjoy the "how" of business—fixing broken processes and making successful ones even better.
Relationship Building: Exceptional interpersonal skills—you can influence stakeholders at all levels and navigate complex negotiations with ease.
Methodology: Proficiency in Hybrid, Agile, or Waterfall frameworks and comfort using tools like MS Teams, SharePoint, and JIRA.
Results-Oriented: A "get-it-done" attitude with a focus on delivering projects on time, within budget, and to a high quality.
Toolkit: Proficiency in Atlassian Suite (JIRA/Confluence) and Microsoft O365.
