About the Role
As our WorkCover Specialist, you aren't just managing files; you are a pivotal advocate for our team members' wellbeing and a strategic partner in reducing organisational risk. Working within a specialist team for the Spotlight Retail Group (SRG), you will oversee claims across multiple jurisdictions to ensure legislative compliance and minimise financial impact through proactive management.
What You’ll Be Doing
End-to-End Claims Management: Lead the administration process, from initial lodgement to processing payments and ensuring accurate authorisations.
Strategic Return to Work: Partner with managers and medical professionals to develop suitable duties and drive "Return to Work" plans that support our team members.
Data-Driven Insights: Present statistical reports and performance analysis to stakeholders, identifying trends to improve premium performance.
Relationship Management: Act as a trusted advisor to injured workers and management, while maintaining strong ties with WorkSafe, legal reps, and EAP providers.
Culture of Safety: Assist the Group Safety Manager in driving safety initiatives and investigations to proactively reduce workplace incidents.
Who You Are
You are a balanced professional who pairs technical expertise with genuine empathy. You know how to navigate complex legislation while keeping the human element at the forefront.
Experienced: 3+ years in the Workers Compensation industry.
Qualified: A Workplace Health & Safety (WHS) qualification is highly regarded.
Legislative Expert: Strong knowledge of WHS and WorkCover legislation across Australian jurisdictions.
Conflict Navigator: Proven ability to negotiate and advocate in a rational, constructive manner.
Tech Savvy: High proficiency in Microsoft Office and safety management systems.
