Join Spotlight Retail Group as a hands-on Senior Software Engineer – Cloud Engineering, building scalable, secure, cloud-native solutions across our multi-brand, multi-country digital ecosystem. You'll work in a vibrant, fast-paced hybrid environment at our South Melbourne office.
What You’ll Be Doing
Build maintainable, cloud-native AWS features using sound design principles.
Deliver full-stack features across Next.js/React frontends, NestJS/Node.js BFF/backend services, and Java/Spring Boot applications.
Design and consume event-driven components and APIs (e.g., Lambda, API Gateway, DynamoDB).
Leverage AI agents and coding assistants to accelerate debugging, refactoring, and delivery.
What We’re Looking For
Experience: 8–12 years in software engineering delivering large-scale digital platforms.
Frontend: Strong TypeScript, React, Next.js, Redux, Tailwind CSS, SSR/SSG, and web performance expertise.
Backend: Solid expertise in Java, Node.js, TypeScript, NestJS, SQL/NoSQL databases, and AWS-native architecture.
Domain: Hands-on e-commerce experience; headless CMS (Content Stack) or Commerce tools experience is highly desirable.
Mindset: Agile, adaptable, and comfortable thriving in a high-availability retail environment.
